Esca-laid
Owner: Todd Robinson
Todd's Truck had its altitude altered by Kevin and the crew at Altered Altitude Customs in Markham Ontario. To handle the power of the V8, they decided on the tried and true KP 6 link with a Watts link. The suspension also consists of Slam bags, Asco Valves, two 8 gallon tanks, Easy Street gauges, and a Viair 450 compressor.
Tired of the stock look, Todd swaped out the front clip from a 2005 Cadillac Escalade EXT. The lower front fenders were molded to tie into the factory Silverado bodyline. The factory mirrors were smoothed and painted to eliminate the factory texture. Escalade exterior door handles were swapped to create a cleaner look. A Grant Kustoms rollpan was welded as well as a Belltech tailgate handle relocation kit. All the body work was done by Jeff Wickens @ Carstar Riverview in Wallaceburg ON.
Keeping with the escalade theme, the dash, console, steering wheel, shifter and door panels where updated with ones from a 2002 Cadillac Escalade. For a little thump, a custom sub box was built that fit seamlessly under the rear bench seat. It holds two 10" JL W3's and a 300/4 JL Amp.A 500/1 JL Amp was hidden behind the back seat, which powers the subs. The stock speakers where swaped out in favor of a 6.5" Apline Type R component set up front , and Orion 4x6's in the rear doors.
To help move all this extra weight, a Superchips Flashpaq programmer and K&N cold air intake where added to squeeze out some extra horsepower. A full Magnaflow exhaust was installed by Steve Olah at Mufflerman in Wallaceburg, Ontario.
